Crazy Saturday

Aiden had a birthday party to go to yesterday with a suprise vistor...Santa. As soon as he walked through the door Aiden started crying. He was terrified, but I had to have a picture of him on his lap. Later we headed to Pauline's where we dropped Aiden off to hang with Noni while we went to the 49er game. It was cold but it was a great game with great seats (Joe's b-day gift from me). We headed back to Pauline's where Noni was showing Aiden there's always room for Jell-o.

Not much new around here. Aiden is still crawling around everywhere and he's saying "Da Da," "Ma Ma" and "Hi" on a more regular basis. We're in the middle of refinancing the house so it's been a little stressful for us especially before the holidays. But, our tree and outdoor lights are up and the stockings are full (at least Joe's and Aiden's are). Were as ready as we can get for Aiden's 1st Christmas. I'm trying not to go crazy. I'm sure the grandparents will handle that!

Joe's 10yr Reunion

We went down to Long Beach last weekend for Joe's reunion and had fun seeing all his old friends and spending some time with family we don't get to see all that much. Aiden got the flu late Saturday night and threw up till 5:30am on Sunday. We flew home that morning and had an early Thanksgiving dinner at our house later that day. By Tuesday I was sick, my mom and dad were sick and so was Giselle. It was a rough week! We're all fine now and heading back down south on Tuesday for Thanksgiving with Joe's dad and family.

Aiden's 9 Month check up went well. He has 8 teeth now and he's needing a haircut, but I can't bring myself to do it. He hasn't grown taller since last month but he's 21lbs 4oz now. On his 9mo b-day, Aiden got his 1st cold, but it was just a cough and it went away within the week. He's been learning to "play nice" with new friends and knowing what "no touch" means. He's crawling around like a mad man and has started letting go when he's standing and he'll stand for a second on his own and then plop to his butt.

We celebrated our 4th anniversary today by taking a family trip to Pier 39. Aiden was very intrigued by the Sea Lions and loved the under water aquarium. It was in the 70's over there so it was a perfect day to go and not too crowded.

9 Months Old

Becky and I took the boys to have their pictures taken today. We had a 1pm appointment and didn't get in till 1:50pm so the boys weren't at their happiest, but the pics still turned out pretty cute. Aiden turned 9 months old today and goes in for his 9mo check up on Thursday.

The Grass Is In!

Joe's been working really hard every chance he gets to get the backyard in working shape before the rains come. He's got all the grass in and next he's starting the stairs so we can actually get to our backyard. After that, we'll get railings and I might get to do some gardening if there's any money left.

Vegas Vacation

We were in Vegas all weekend for the Softball World Series. We ended up going 4 & 2 and taking Second to a Colorado team who was very good. Joe made "Best Defensive Player" and I made All-Tourney. Our team rented a beautiful 5 bedroom house with a pool, hot tub, pool table, and 2 big screens. Aiden was in the pool every waking moment when we weren't on the field. Nana and Papa came so Aiden hung out with them and My Aunt Crystal and Uncle Duane from Wisconsin also flew out to watch us play (and gamble).

It was a great weekend and the dark circles around our eyes prove it!

8 Months Old

Aiden is now about 31 inches and 21lbs. He's figured out the motion of crawling but it still doesn't interest him all that much. He still is only sporting 4 teeth, but another one is on its way. He's consitantly sleeping till 5:30am and will go back to sleep (with a bottle) till 7:30am. This new phenomenon has us all a little less grouchy!

Ready or not...

...Aiden is pulling himself up onto whatever he can get his hands on. He gets so proud of himself when he does it and it's so adorable. He's not really crawling yet (thank God), but I think in the next week or two, he'll have it down. I can't believe he'll be 8 months next week!

We went to the Toby Keith concert last night and had a blast. On the way, we were rear-ended on 101. The Cadi that hit us was totalled, but somehow our Ford Escape escaped with only minor scrapes and dents. Here's a picture of the Cadi and of us later that night. It's been over a year since I've had more than one drink at a time, so needless to say we had fun. And no, Joe didn't drive home.

This weekend Aiden got to meet Nana's horse Picasso and went to two different bbq's where he got to swim and see lots of other kids!

7 Months Old!!!

Aiden is now 7 months old and is about 20lbs and 30" long. He looks like he's trying to crawl but lands on his face at the 1st try. He's very tickleish and will laugh at the weirdest things. Every day it seems he does something new. Last night he slept from 6:30pm-5:30am without waking and then went back to sleep till 7am. I could really get use to this! Though I think the lack of sleep is Gods way of keeping me from wanting 10 more.

ZZZZZZ............

Aiden (knock on wood) has been doing a little better on the whole sleep thing lately, going 9-9 1/2hrs now without waking and going the whole night without eating. Naps during the day are still sporadic and sometimes nonexistant. As a result, this is what happens when 6:30pm rolls around.
