Christmas Eve Morning at my Sister'sChristmas Eve at Joe's Uncle's (7 kids 3 and under!)Christmas Morning our house 6am before Joe leaves for work.Christmas Day relaxing, playing with toys The 26th (Christmas at our house) Aiden got the "Red Mack" he's been talking about since July. While all the Christmas fun was going on, my boys were slowly catching a cold. Aiden was struggling to even talk today and had to take a breath every 3rd word so I called the advice nurse and after deciding he wasn't getting enough oxygen from his blue lips ( I hadn't noticed because of his binky), we headed for the E.R. They got us right in and after 4 rounds of Albuterol, chest ex-rays and a take home inhaler, we were on our way home. He's doing ok. Still wheezing, so we'll be laying low the next few days.

We took Drew in to see the allergist regarding his aversion to eggs. They ran a blood test to see the severity of his allergy and said they will repeat every 2 years to see if it decreases and once it reaches a certain level we can try and re-introduce eggs. Aiden will have to undergo the same test next month. So in the mean time, we were sent home with the "Epi-Pen Jr." and are praying we never have to use it. I got his test results today and he rated a 3 out of 5 on the severity of his allergy so now I just have to wait to hear from the Dr. to see what exactly that means. But, as you can see, he is enjoying Oreos and doesn't seem to be missing out on the cookies and cake.

Anyone wondering about the family "Goose?" Don't worry he's being well taken care of and donning his Christmas apparel on our front porch. I hate to let him go this New Year's, but I will make sure to send him with his trousseau of holiday attire.

MFD Christmas Party
We went to Joe's work for a Christmas party last weekend and the boys had a blast. Aiden got paint ornaments, jump in the bounce house, and climb on the firetruck. He wasn't that thrilled with Santa, but he did bring Aiden the flashlight he's been wanting. Drew enjoyed the food, also climbing in the firetruck and pushing a chair around the whole parking bay.

We had a really nice Thanksgiving down in Long Beach/Huntington Beach. We left Wednesday and after an 8.5 hour drive, we made it. We stayed at Joe's dads house and had Thanksgiving at his brother's where Andrew got to meet Great-Grandma Perry for the first time. She just celebrated her 95th last week. On Saturday we drove out to Fillmore (just west of Magic Mountain) and rode the Polar Express train where they served cookies and chocolate milk and Santa came through to meet the kids. Aiden actually talked to him this year and told him he wanted a flash light. (There's already one in his stocking-weird) After the train stopped and the kids ran around a little, we headed for home at 9pm. At about 2am, Joe said we needed to stop for gas because our car said 4miles to empty so I got out the TOMTOM and it said there was a Chevron in Livermore 2miles away. So we got off the freeway and found the Chevron sign, but the station hadn't been built yet. So now with 2 miles to empty, we found that the next station was farther than that so we had to call AAA. At 2:45am, they arrived and rescued us. We were in our beds by 3:30am. The next day Joe surprised me with an appointment for a 90min. massage for my birthday present. It was perfect timing.

Aiden will finally ride Kota! He has been afraid of him for over a year.
Aiden, enjoying making fire with daddy.
Andrew rode Kota before Aiden
Split his chin open today. Do you see his bloody shirt? Luckily I wasn't alone and sat down before I could pass out.
Fun in a box.

Andrew had his 1yr appointment this week and he's 20lbs 12oz and 31". We found out that he can't get the MMR shot because of his allergy to eggs so we have to see an allergist to see what degree his allergy is and then they will do the MMR in a series of low dose shots. When Aiden had the MMR shot we didn't know about his allergy to eggs and he was sick for a week. It all makes sense now. Drew did have to get 3 shots and did ok. A little fever the next day but that was all. He's still not walking but crawling really fast. He was chasing me on the tile today and slipped and that's how he split his chin open. It's pretty bad, but Joe says that stitches don't do anything except stop the bleeding and it stopped pretty quick so we'll skip the ER today. He's getting so fast that yesterday I ran downstairs and by the time I got to the bottom, I realized I forgot to close the gate so I ran back up and Drew was already half way down. I'm glad he's learned quickly to get down them but he tries to go so fast that he scares me to death!

He's One! Well the munchkin turned One today. We had pictures taken this morning and got 1 good one. None of Aiden. Drew seems to be saying more each day. Today while looking at the pictures we took on the computer, they were all of Drew and when one came up of Aiden, Drew said "A-den!" It was adorable. One for the baby book if I knew where it was. He also is saying Ba-ba for bottle, Da-da, still calling everything "dog" and "duck" and he got a car from us this morning and will say "car." He got 2 more teeth this week so we're up to 10 teeth. Aiden had 12 at his 1st b-day I believe. He loves to eat and is not at all picky, but he won't eat baby food anymore or anything from a spoon. He wants to do it himself. It's hard to believe that a year ago yesterday I was sobbing before my c-section thinking I could never love another child like I do Aiden and feeling bad that Aiden would have to share my love...and now this little man has my heart.

I finally caught Aiden singing his ABC's on video. Everytime I bring the camera out he usually stops.

We visited the pumpkin patch at Rowell Ranch today and the boys had fun looking for pumpkins, riding a pony and playing in the toy cars. They got new Halloween shirts from Noni but it was too cold to show them off. Thanks Noni!

Our Downstairs has turned into the new home of our bouce house. At least for the winter. It helps get the wiggles out before nap time. We visited the Steinhart Aquarium this weekend with some friends, Lucas and Kaliah.
This has become a typical seen at my house as we begin the nap rotation. I put one down as they sit and watch a "Baby Einstein" before their turn. Luckily Aiden still loves these shows even though there's no talking. He likes to tell the other guys what everything is.

Aiden's Sun and Train...or at least that's what he says it is. He seriously colors most of the day now and tries to draw all kinds of things. Maybe he'll be an artist? Well, no money in that. Maybe an architect. A mom can only hope.

What I saw when I walked in the kitchen. Do you think this is covered in the warranty?

Kia's Shower
With the help of her family, I hosted my best-friend Kia's baby shower today. It was so hot!!! We only lasted outside during lunch and had to come in for presents and desert. I had a friend make the cake and it was adorable. We purchased a small bounce house so the kids would have something to do and it kept them entertained. I figured with the money I've spent on renting them, I might as well buy one. Thanks to all who helped! I could not have done it without you!!!

I feel like I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would put up a couple pictures. Not much new here. Our new dog has epilepsy so he's on meds now; the little 5 month old I've been watching is now in 18month clothes. He was using Drew's clothes as he grew out of them and this last month completely passed him and now we will be getting his hand-me-downs. Andrew's still not walking and I'm in no rush. He still only has 8 teeth though I can feel a couple more coming. It's hard to believe he'll be 1yr old next month. It's gone by so much faster than Aiden's first year. Drew can say Dog very clearly and "Gook" is book. He's very into books right now. Aiden has been on a coloring kick and can draw a smiley face though it usually has more than 2 eyes. He can draw a circle, triangle and sometimes he can get a square right. He's about 5 weeks in to swim class and can swim almost completely by himself. He's been doing wonderfully and has no fear now of the water. We went to my cousin's son's 1st b-day party and Aiden wanted to jump off the diving board so I walked him up there and he didn't even wait for me to count to 3 before he jumped. It looks like I pushed him, but I was trying to stop him because I wasn't ready! Well, that's about it for this week at the Perry's!
