Spaghetti...The Progression
Andrew will be 10 months old tomorrow so we went and had some pictures taken. He's up to 8 teeth and eats everything in sight. He will dance whenever he hears music and this past week has started shaking his head "no" when he really doesn't want to do something. He's enjoying his new found freedom of crawling but is still leary to try and stand. He good at getting to his knees but is cautious of falling. The Miralax is still working and I'm trying to transition him to a less expensive formula for the remainder of his first year if his insides will allow it.
2.5yrs old
Aiden is growing so fast and has been such a big help for me watching all the little ones. He loves his "big brother" role. He's really getting into pretend play and it's hilarious to listen to him talk to his toys. He grabbed my cell phone today and told me he was going to call Peyton. This was his conversation (with himself).

Hello Peyton?

This is Aiden.

No, Uh huh.

I went to the fair with mommy, daddy, drew drew, nana, papa and Pauline-I mean noni.

Can I play with your red Mack?

Oh, thank you.

Bye.

Mom, Peyton said I can play with his red mack.

Me: Is he still on the phone?

No, he had to go play with his baby sister.

San Mateo County Fair
We visited the fair today with my parents and Joe's mom. There was way too many people there but Aiden enjoyed seeing and petting the animals and getting to ride the ferris wheel.

Possibly another Perry....
No, I'm not pregnant, we've just been looking for another dog for a while now to be a companion for Lexi and just haven't been able to find one that is good with kids and dogs until yesterday. A friend from high school runs Hopalong Rescue in Oakland and they get lists from local shelters on dogs and cats that have 24hrs before they are euthanized and Hopalong goes and picks up the ones they think they can adopt out. "Geuro" came to them last week as an Obese lab that failed his temperment test because he barked in the kennel. So he wasn't even elligible for adoption when Hopalong picked him up. He's a 4yr old male lab that someone fed and fed and didn't train. He doesn't know any commands and just wants to sleep on the couch all day but he's mellow and so far can tolerate Lexi and the kids. We didn't like the name Guero so we decided on "Nero" (Clifford's firedog brother). It sounds close and Aiden can remember it. He's got 30lbs to lose and I think it will come off fast. We are his foster parents for the next 2 weeks and at that time we can decide if he's a good fit.

Mobile & Pooping...FinallyAndrew saw the G.I. Dr. on Wednesday and she said that his problem looks like he's been straining so much for so long that his muscles are stretched out and it's basically a strained muscle that needs to heal. But, genetically he's from a long line of constipated people and Dr. says he could be on Miralax for up to a couple years. He's had 3 explosive poops in the last couple days, something I hadn't seen in a long time. I guess he was feeling "lighter" because today he decided to start crawling. He made one movement forward this morning and by tonight, he was using all fours like he had been doing it all along. I tried to delay him as long as I could but he doesn't want to wait any longer. Now tomorrow will be spent babyproofing the house all over again.

We just got back from 5 days of relaxation in Truckee with Joe's family and extended family. The weather sucked with a whole day of rain and a high of 58 on the day we wanted to go to the beach but we had great food and great family. Aiden spent every waking moment with Peyton by his side and they were inseperable. Drew is having attachment issues and didn't want me out of his sight, but was a good boy and good traveler. The night before we left I let Drew nibble on my French toast and found out in less than 10 min. that he too shares Aiden's allergy. His face blew up before our eyes so we did Benedryl quickly and within an hour he was looking normal again and then threw up what looked like a weeks worth of formula. On a happier note, he went to the bathroom while we were up there. It had been 9 days and 2 weeks of daily laxatives. He's a happy boy today. I'm sure I will have more pictures to share but this is all I have so far. Drew's G.I. appointment is Wednesday morning so I will post what I find out.
