We had a really nice Thanksgiving down in Long Beach/Huntington Beach. We left Wednesday and after an 8.5 hour drive, we made it. We stayed at Joe's dads house and had Thanksgiving at his brother's where Andrew got to meet Great-Grandma Perry for the first time. She just celebrated her 95th last week. On Saturday we drove out to Fillmore (just west of Magic Mountain) and rode the Polar Express train where they served cookies and chocolate milk and Santa came through to meet the kids. Aiden actually talked to him this year and told him he wanted a flash light. (There's already one in his stocking-weird) After the train stopped and the kids ran around a little, we headed for home at 9pm. At about 2am, Joe said we needed to stop for gas because our car said 4miles to empty so I got out the TOMTOM and it said there was a Chevron in Livermore 2miles away. So we got off the freeway and found the Chevron sign, but the station hadn't been built yet. So now with 2 miles to empty, we found that the next station was farther than that so we had to call AAA. At 2:45am, they arrived and rescued us. We were in our beds by 3:30am. The next day Joe surprised me with an appointment for a 90min. massage for my birthday present. It was perfect timing.

Aiden will finally ride Kota! He has been afraid of him for over a year.
Aiden, enjoying making fire with daddy.
Andrew rode Kota before Aiden
Split his chin open today. Do you see his bloody shirt? Luckily I wasn't alone and sat down before I could pass out.
Fun in a box.

Andrew had his 1yr appointment this week and he's 20lbs 12oz and 31". We found out that he can't get the MMR shot because of his allergy to eggs so we have to see an allergist to see what degree his allergy is and then they will do the MMR in a series of low dose shots. When Aiden had the MMR shot we didn't know about his allergy to eggs and he was sick for a week. It all makes sense now. Drew did have to get 3 shots and did ok. A little fever the next day but that was all. He's still not walking but crawling really fast. He was chasing me on the tile today and slipped and that's how he split his chin open. It's pretty bad, but Joe says that stitches don't do anything except stop the bleeding and it stopped pretty quick so we'll skip the ER today. He's getting so fast that yesterday I ran downstairs and by the time I got to the bottom, I realized I forgot to close the gate so I ran back up and Drew was already half way down. I'm glad he's learned quickly to get down them but he tries to go so fast that he scares me to death!
